For accounting and bookkeeping firms
Sell your accounting firm's data to AI labs
AI models still struggle with the work accountants do every month: closing the books, reconciling accounts, answering a client's VAT question. Your firm has years of that work on file. Lodex licenses a cleaned copy to AI labs, without your clients' details.
What is your data worth?
Accounting firms
What AI labs buy
Month-end close checklists
The steps your team follows to close a client's books, with sign-offs, open items and notes on why a step was repeated.
Reconciliation threads
Email and chat in which staff trace a bank difference or a missing invoice. Labs value the reasoning, one step at a time.
Excel workpapers
Lead schedules, accrual calculations and pivot tables with their formulas intact. They teach agents to work in a spreadsheet the way a senior does.
Client query tickets
Questions from clients about deductions, payroll deadlines or invoices, and the answers your team gave.
Tax memo and letter templates
Standard tax memos, engagement letters and advice templates, with client details removed.
Review notes and quality procedures
Review checklists, internal manuals and the comments a reviewer leaves on a junior's file before it is signed off.
Payouts
What a sale can pay
The size of a payout follows the data: how many teams, how many years, how hard it is to find elsewhere.
From €10K
One team, standard workflows
A single workspace or department: tickets, deals, invoices, documents.
€50K+
Several teams or years of history
Multiple departments, or a long, consistent record of how work got done.
€250K+
Specialised operations
Expert work AI labs can't source elsewhere: niche processes, regulated workflows, rare skills.
What drives the price
The price depends mostly on how many years of closes and workpapers you have, how many clients and industries they cover, and how consistent your process is. Firms with documented review steps usually get more than firms that keep only final outputs. Files in Dutch, German, Polish or another language with little training data are rarer and worth more.
Payouts range from €10K–€600K. The final offer depends on your sources, their volume and quality, and our review.

What we promise
You keep your data and you decide what goes. Here is exactly what we promise.
It's data you already have
Years of records already sit in your tools. Selling a copy costs you nothing and changes nothing about how you work.
Nothing goes out unpaid
Buyers see redacted samples only. The full package is released after they pay.
Never to your competitors
We license only to AI labs and research teams, under contract. Nothing is ever published.
Cleaned before it leaves
Names, customer details and other identifiers are removed during processing. Buyers never learn who your customers are.
Secure end to end
Read-only, encrypted connections. Originals are deleted once processing is done.
You decide, in writing
You approve every source and sign the terms first. Nothing is sold without your sign-off.
What stays out
Client identities
Client names, VAT and company registration numbers, bank account numbers and addresses are removed. Amounts stay only where they cannot point back to a client.
Personal tax and payroll data
Personal income tax returns, payslips and national ID numbers are excluded. Where you run payroll for a client as a processor, that data is the client's and stays out.
Content under professional secrecy
Where your professional rules require confidentiality, client-identifying content stays out. We work from your procedures, templates and anonymised patterns.
Documents your clients own
Contracts, statements and reports a client gave you are not yours to license. They are left out of scope.
Questions
Can an accounting firm sell data under its professional rules?
Client-identifying information, no. Your own know-how, yes in most cases: checklists, templates, workpapers with identifiers removed and internal procedures. Check your engagement letters and the rules of your professional body before you start.
We run payroll for clients. Can that data be included?
Usually not. For payroll you often act as a processor for the client, so the data is theirs. Your payroll procedures, checklists and anonymised query threads can still be included.
Are review notes and corrections really valuable?
They are among the most useful records. A reviewer's comment and the correction that follows show a model what a good file looks like. Staff names are removed.
Which systems can you read from?
Email, Teams or Slack, document storage such as SharePoint or Drive, ticket tools, and exports from your practice management and bookkeeping software where the content is yours to license. All access is read-only.
Will this help software that competes with our firm?
We license only to AI labs, never to other firms or to software vendors in your market. Labs mix your records with data from many companies to train general models. Nothing is published.
Is a small firm worth it?
We work with firms from about 10 people. A small firm with fifteen years of consistent workpapers can be worth more than a larger firm with little history.
